2026 Performance Times

  • Warm - Up

    • Guided walk to warm up area 10 minutes before allotted time slot (band, battery, front ensemble, guard, props).

    • 30 minute warm-up time, used as needed.

    • 5 minute transition to performance gate.

    • "Gate Time" 10 minutes before performance window.

    Performance

    • 15 minutes total time (field setup, performance, off the field.

    • Adjudication to begin at direction of band director.

    • Adjudication concludes at obvious end of material.

    Retreat

    Drum majors and color guard captains will report to the performance gate for awards at the start of the final band performance of both preliminary and finals competitions.

    • Class trophies will be awarded by school classification.

  • Advancement

    • Top 10 ensembles advance to finals.

    • Class winners will have the opportunity to perform in exhibition, if not scored into Top 10.

    • The 10 advancing ensembles will be re-sorted by score

      • Top 5 ensembles (1 - 5) will perform last in random draw.

      • Next 5 ensembles (6 - 10) will perform first in random draw.

    • Awards will be presented for 1st-10th places.

    • Caption Awards will be presented.

  • Meet & Greet

    During the prelims awards ceremony, directors will be able to meet with adjudication panel for an informal gathering where directors and ensemble staff will have the opportunity to receive further insight on their performance.​

    Adjudicator Commentary

    Adjudicator commentary will be available immediately after each ensemble's performance via the CompetitionSuite app.
